Having a holistic background in movement practises, Emily draws movement fundamentals from Release Technique, Yoga, Contract Improvisation, Laban and Physical Theatre. The movement workshops centre around natural movement coming from an individual body's relationship to space and weight; using imagery, play and sensorial awareness to explore movement possibilities.

MOVEMENT COACHING
Offering one to one movement coaching to screen actors. This involves establishing an actor’s connection and understanding of their body in order to embody the physical language and habits of their character.
Enabling an actor to explore the physical heritage of a character and the environment that surrounds them, Emily uses knowledge of body language and physical intention to find naturalistic character movement that can communicate over screen. This includes developing an actors coordination and proprioception before supporting them to interrogate and discover physical characteristics.
Emily can offer support with specific or stylised character physical requirements as well as expressive or naturalistic character physicality.
Past experience includes movement coach on short films including Entanglement and teaching embodying naturalistic movement for screen to MA Screen Actors at Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.
‘'Really appreciated how patient and supportive and encouraging you were on the day.
I felt very at ease and really really enjoyed it!’'
- Performer Franky Murray Brown
